EXPERIENCE OF BRICK STITCH IS ESSENTIAL. This pattern is for experienced beaders and comprises a brick stitch chart and a list of the Delica bead colours I used to produce the brooch above (see also below for colours used). The pattern DOES NOT include brick stitch techniques. If you need a reminder, you can find brick stitch instructions here and how to shape brick stitch here.
The chart could also be worked in peyote stitch if your are comfortable with increase and decrease techniques.
Finished arch measures about 5.5cm wide and 3cm high (excluding hands).
I used the following colours of Miyuki Size 11 Delica beads
Grey: DB209 x 110; White: DB201 x 88; Red: DB727 x 72; Orange: DB722 x 45; Yellow: DB721 x 61; Green: DB2126 x 52; Blue: DB659 x 40; Indigo: DB730 x 24; Violet: DB1379 x 23
I also added a brooch pin (approx 2.5cm) and 1 pair of hand charms.
