EXPERIENCE OF PEYOTE STITCH IS RECOMMENDED for this pattern, designed by Kathryn Halfpenney. This super little hanging drum decoration was designed to upcycle my empty KO thread bobbins, but thick white card and wadding work perfectly.

Full instructions with diagrams and photographs are provided over 12 pages.

The drum has an approximate height and width of 3cm (1-1/8″).

Description

Suggested materials –

Miyuki Delica beads in 3 colours (I used DB052, DB043, DB046), Miyuki galvanised seed beads in sizes 11 and 15 (I used 11HM4202, 15HM4202), Preciosa 30mm bugles (I used 30HTB456).

KO or Nymo beading thread is recommended. To fill your drum you with need either an empty KO thread bobbin, or thick white card and wadding. 10p coins are a suitable alternative to the card, but do make the drum heavier.

To attach the drumsticks, you will need a little E6000 glue (or similar). You will also need your usual beading equipment, including beading mat and scissors.
