Designed by Marlene O’Reilly, this round basket is the ideal size for a certain little gooey chocolate egg, or it can be filled with mini eggs, flowers, or anything else you fancy. You will use circular peyote, tubular peyote, twisted tubular herringbone, flat even count peyote (with shaping) and a leaf fringe technique.
Approx diameter at the top of the basket is 4.5cm. Overall height is about 8.5cm.
You should have some experience of peyote stitch and herringbone weave, although full instructions with diagrams and photographs are provided over 16 pages.

For this pattern you will need: size 11 seed beads in 2 colours for basket (Light x 9g, Dark x 8g), Size 15 seed beads in 4 colours for flowers (3 colours) and bow (1 colour), Size 8 seed beads for centre of flowers x 6 beads, 1 x Rondelle (4x6mm) for centre of bow.
You will also need florist or craft wire (approx 0.7mm) x 15-18cm, wire cutters, and your usual beading equipment.
