EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED for this pattern by Kathryn Halfpenney. It is available to download or you can order a printed copy.

Instructions with diagrams and photographs are provided over 16 pages. It is recommended that you have some understanding of the stitches used. Stitches used are: Peyote, Right Angle Weave (RAW) and a Fringing technique.

See below for materials list.

Finished measurements: The finished wreath will have an approximate diameter of 9.5cm, excluding hanging ribbon.

You can click here for a bead pack that has all the materials needed, or click here for a kit that has all the pattern and all the materials to make 1 Poinsettia Wreath.

Description

Suggested materials – I used Miyuki seed beads throughout, and the bead codes are also provided in the pattern.

For the wreath base
3g Size 15 seed beads in matte olive (15HM2033), 5g Size 11 seed beads in matte olive (11HM2033), 1 x Thin Metal Bangle (Outer diameter 68mm; width 2mm)

For the foliage (You can use the same colour of bead for both parts if you prefer)
3g Size 11 seed beads in silver lined green AB (11HM1016), 10g Size 11 seed beads in silver lined olive AB (11HM1026)

For the poinsettia flowers
10g Size 11 seed beads in silver lined red (11HM10), 1g Size 15 seed beads in gold (15HM1053)

Decorations
1 x 14mm craft liberty bell in gold, 50cm x 3mm or 4mm pearl bead trim in gold, 60cm x 20mm ribbon in red (Organdie, Organza, Tulle or similar)

I used Nymo D to best suit the colours of the beads used: Olive for the wreath base and foliage, and red for the flowers.

You will also need your usual beading equipment, including beading mat and scissors.
