This design by Kathryn Halfpenney, offered since 2016 only as a colour chart, is now available as a written pattern to celebrate this Jubilee Year.
Some experience of peyote stitch is recommended. Full instructions with diagrams and photographs are provided over 12 printed pages. A 2nd file will be available to download that contains only the colour and word charts. Please see below for recommended materials.
The finished flag measures about 5 x 3.6cm and the flag pole is about 0.5 x 11cm.

You will need a larger bead (I used a white size 6 seed bead 6HM402), 2 x cocktail sticks or a bamboo skewer and 2 x soldered jump rings to complete the flag pole.
You will also need your usual beading equipment, including beading mat and scissors. Thread conditioner is optional.
