This design by Kathryn Halfpenney is one of our range of Drop In To Bead kits suitable for new and experienced beaders. Techniques explained are: Back stitch, Peyote Stitch, Chain Stitch, Edge Stitch, and Picots.
This kit contains the pattern and all the beads, clasp, needle and thread that you need for the brooch, but please see below for any equipment requirements. Instructions, with diagrams, are provided over a total of 8 pages. Please note that the cabochon supplied in the kit will be white & blue, and similar to that shown in the photograph but will vary.
The finished brooch measures about 4×4.5cm (1.5×1.75″).

Miyuki seed beads, flat-backed cabochon, beading foundation, felt, brooch pin, beading needle, and Nymo beading thread are provided.
You will also need your usual beading equipment, including beading mat and scissors. Thread conditioner is optional.
