This pattern introduces bead embroidery and the techniques explained within the 8-page pattern are: Back stitch, Peyote Stitch, Chain Stitch, Edge Stitch, and Picots.

The finished brooch measures about 4×4.5cm (1.5×1.75″).

25x18mm Flat-backed Cabochon, 6cm x 6cm piece beading foundation, Double-sided tape, 6cm x 6cm piece backing fabric (eg felt), 28mm (1”) Brooch pin, Miyuki seed beads in size 8 and size 11. The seed bead colours I used are shown in the pattern.
You will need your usual beading equipment, including needle, thread, beading mat, and scissors.
