I designed this wreath as my family gift last year and it’s now available to buy as a pattern, bead pack, or full kit. The 16-page pattern includes diagrams and photographs and it is recommended that beaders have some experience of beading, particularly peyote stitch and right angle weave.

The Beadworkers Guild have themed this year’s event to celebrate the positive mental health impacts that beading has with the tagline: ‘HANGING IN THERE’ and with tassels as the main feature.

You do not have to be a member of The Beadworkers Guild to take part.

We do not feel ready yet to host an event and re-open The Beading Room for groups, but I will say more about our thoughts in my usual email at the beginning of August.

I have just added a pattern for a choker I wore for my nephew’s wedding last week. It is tubular peyote stitch using size 8 seed beads and drops. It’s really flexible and was so comfy to wear. I have previously made a bracelet using 2 different colours so I included a picture of that as well. It just you an idea what it will look like.

You don’t need any previous knowledge of the stitch as full instructions with diagrams are provided.

The pattern includes the colours of the beads I used. It is available as a download or printed copy and is on an introductory price of just £1 until the end of July. How’s that for a bargain!

Here are the new products that I have added so far. Only limited quantities are available so far so you may need to be quick.

Our range of Chinese bicones will not be restocked, and we are replacing them with a Preciosa range, made in the Czech Republic. To start us off I have chosen 38 colours and tried to get them in all 3 sizes. All I have to do now is find somewhere in The Beading Room to have them on display, and that’s easier said than done at the moment!

We did venture into a few other products and I will get those added soon.

These accessories (cauldorn, spoon, broomstick and spell book) were designed to complement our Halloween Witch Tassels perfectly. Full instructions, with diagrams and photographs are provided. Experience of peyote stitch and reading charts is recommended as some parts can be fiddly, and would be difficult if you are totally new to the stitch.

I used Miyuki seed beads in sizes 11 and 8, and I made my own tassel for the broomstick. I had great fun designing these accessories and I’m looking forward to having them on full display in the Autumn. Here’s a little display I out together.

As with all the other fringe packs, this fringe differs from the original pattern but does make up as shown on the photograph. I have used beads that are more readily available to us here in the UK, so that I can keep them in stock.

This is the last fringe for now, so all I have to do is decide what to start on next!
